The added side grips and matte surface of the mouse aid in providing an ideal experience for both gaming and daily desktop use. While the mouse isn't necessarily designed for use beyond a desktop setup, it isn't too large for packing into a bag for traveling. After testing the mouse for extended gaming sessions for many hours there wasn't any hand or palm fatigue which have usually been a problem in past mice that were either too large or heavy. While not everyone may not be interested in the mouse's wide array of LED color options, they will be happy to know that the DeathAdder Chroma ergonomics have been fine-tuned for the most ideal weight and size dimensions. However, it also doesn't subtract anything from the mouse resulting in a feature that will only be a decision maker to those owners who want complete customization with LED colors. While the ability to customize the mouse's color to an exact hue or RGB value is a nice feature to have, it doesn't add anything to how the mouse actually performs.

We apologise for this error, although still stand by our statement that we can't see the new higher levels of DPI being of much practical use even on a 4K screen settings between 8,000 and 10,000 DPI felt far too sensitive. The confusion arose because earlier models of the mouse shipped with the new sensor wrapped in the body of the old one. Specifically, the DeathAdder Chroma uses the Avago S3989 sensor, not the S3988. Update: Razer has been in touch to inform us that the sensor in the Chroma is actually native 10,000 DPI, and not a 6,400 DPI model with interpolation as we previously said. This is a 6,400 DPI sensor so Razer is using interpolating to reach the higher levels, which we can't see many using anyway. That said, the sensor hasn't actually changed from the Avago S3988 found in the previous model, the DeathAdder 2013. The DeathAdder Chroma is a five button mouse that uses an optical sensor capable of tracking at a ridiculous 10,000 DPI.
